Making a difference and building a Fintech business

Many Canadians struggle with savings and live effectively from paycheque to paycheque. At KOHO we are building a business and searching for features that will help to propel our growth and also struggle with wanting to provide Canadians with solutions that can help them reduce debt, manage spending, set aside savings -- but do we give people what they want or try to anticipate what they need?

We have been building features and platform capabilities that anticipate a new generation of digitally led financial services products. We have also been digging into some of the key issues in the industry like predatory lending, expense management, and NSF fees for those who can afford them the least and have tried to come up with new ideas that are more balanced. We think that we can build our business on principles that put the customers best interests forward.

This session will explore the differences between a challenger bank and mobile banking and will delve into how we are trying to challenge conventional financial services concepts and go against the grain of the industry.
